County Singer David Ball in the Area

Country singer David Ball was in the area over the weekend. He played Saturday night at the Prairie Players Civic Theater in Galesburg, with proceeds benefiting the Mark and Jeannette Kleine Pediatric Wellness Center.

David also has a new album dropping on September 7th, titled Come See Me. He shares the inspiration behind the new music:

“I love writing songs and I had a whole pile of them. I started kinda putting a studio together. A long time ago we figured out a way to start doing everything ourselves. So this is us doing everything ourselves. I had some help with my band guys, it’s not that complicated. We kinda like music, I guess it’s not really mainstream, it’s kinda a little side. It goes back to what music used to be like coming up. There some kinda rock ability influence, Buck Owens type stuff, Merle Haggard type stuff. At the same time its modern music, kinda old modern stuff, that’s what I like,” states Ball.
