CSC Charger Baseball Interim Coach, Josh Foreman

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College baseball coach Jake Tenhouse has announced his departure from the College after leading the Chargers for five seasons, and assistant Josh Foreman will serve as interim coach.

Tenhouse, who was employed as a student success coach and athletic coach at Sandburg, was hired prior to the start of the 2014 spring season. He posted a 129-128-1 overall record with the Chargers, including a 56-33-1 mark in Arrowhead Conference play. Sandburg finished 29-14 overall last season and won a share of its first conference championship since 2008.

“We thank Coach Tenhouse for his time leading our program and wish him nothing but the best,” Sandburg Athletic Director Mike Bailey said. “We’re confident that Coach Foreman will continue to build our program while we remain committed to our student-athletes’ success on and off the field.”

Foreman joined the Chargers as an assistant coach during the 2017-18 season. A Brimfield High School graduate, Foreman played collegiately at Waubonsee from 2002-03, earning Second-Team All-Region IV honors in both of his seasons with the Chiefs. He then transferred to Murray State, an NCAA Division I program, and played in 63 games for the Racers during the 2004-05 seasons.
