The Grand Alumni Band Concert

Share

The Grand Alumni Band is back. Not only will they be marching in the Prime Beef Festival Parade, they will be having a concert at Monmouth Park for all to attend. Organizer for the Grand Alumni Band Jim Johnson, shares the motivation behind the event:

“We are doing something new this year, which is the Grand Alumni Band music in the park. Where we are bringing people who can’t march and want to participate, and they want to go ahead and be a part of this too. So we decided to do a concert event,” states Johnson.

The free concert event will be Saturday September 8th at 2 pm in the Myron Mikita Band Shelter at Monmouth Park.

The Grand Alumni Band will be selling t-shirts and having a TV raffle drawing with proceeds going toward a Youth Music Scholarship Fund, which will be given to a student wanting to pursue music.

For more information about the fundraiser or the concert in the park, call 309-536-3041 or search The Grand Alumni Band on Facebook.
