Warren County Public Library Events

The Warren County Public Library is full of activity during the month of September. Some are recurring events that took place during the last school year, including Story Time, Monmouth College Classics Day, and Lego Parties. Youth Librarian Danielle Morrison, shares details about a family event taking place at the library:

“Family Festival, and that will be every month on the 3rd Monday of the month at 5pm. It’s all about storytelling, food, crafts, and just something free that families can do together and there will be themes every month,” Morrison states.

On the adult side at the library there are multiple events going on as well. Rebecca Eaton, Adult Librarian, discusses details for an upcoming event:

“On September 5th, that’s a Wednesday, at 2 o’clock, we have Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body. That is presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Illinois. They are going to be talking about preventative care for Alzheimer’s. So things you can kind of do to get ahead of it, to kind of keep yourself from sort of falling into the habits that might lead to the disease,” shares Eaton.

Other occasions for the adults are an indoor container growing session, knit and crocheting, a book sale, and the continuation of tablet basics classes and author visits.

The Warren County Public Library will begin their winter hours on September 10th, being open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 8 pm and Friday and Saturday 8 am until 5 pm.
