2018 Warren County Prime Beef Festival Princess Court

The 2018 Warren County Prime Beef Princess Pageant was held last Saturday and a new court has been crowned. Third-Runner up is Murphy Sage, Second-Runner Up is Alexandria Wise, First- Runner Up is Emma Parkins, and your 2018 Princess is Rachel Williams.

Murphy Sage, the daughter of Brian and Laura Sage, is a senior at Monmouth-Roseville and is involved in a number of activities, including, volleyball, student council, and Bi-County Youth Coalition. Sage shares about her impromptu question and her experience at the pageant:

“It was, can you give me a 30 second advertisement about the Prime Beef Festival. It was so fun. I’m so glad. I made so many friends because those girls from United that I don’t get to see very often, it was so great getting to know them,” describes Sage.

Second-Runner up Alexandria Wise, the daughter of Jeremy and Krista Wise, is a senior at Monmouth-Roseville. Wise shares her activities at school and her involvement in the pageant:

“I’m involved in quite a few of activities. I’m involved in the performing arts and just being able to do this pageant with all these amazing girls was just an amazing experience,” Wise states.

First-Runner up Emma Parkins, the daughter of Brian and Jenna Parkins, is a senior at United and also involved in numerous organizations. She is currently the Section 4 FFA President and the statistician for the football team. Parkins describes her favorite part about Saturday night:

“Just being backstage with everybody and we would go downstairs and they would right away ask us how we felt and how everything was going. They were always there to cheer you up or anything you needed. It was such a supportive group,” Parkins shares.

Your 2018 Princess Rachel Williams, the daughter of Rick Williams and the late Tracy Williams, is a senior at Monmouth-Roseville and is involved in cheerleading, speech, and student council to name a few. Her future plans are to either attend Illinois Wesleyan or Loyola University, majoring in English or Political Science, with hopes to attend law school after. Williams shares her favorite part of being involved in the pageant:

“Well like all of these girls have said, I didn’t know a few of the other girls competing from United and it was just really fun to get to know them. It was a great mixture of young women and their all very bright, empowering, confident and I’m glad I got be around them all summer long. And I hope we all continue friendships later,” states Williams.
