Here’s the WMOI/WRAM/WAIK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16th, 2018:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Addison Fletcher. Addison helped his team beat Bureau Valley using his legs AND his arm. He threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns and also also ran for 30 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground as well as the Titans improved to (3-1) on the season.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is sophomore football player, Toby Turnquist. Toby was very efficient in his first varsity start at quarterback. He was 16-24 passing the football for 101 yards and also threw for one touchdown. That was all against state-ranked Princeville in a Lincoln Trail Conference loss to the Princes.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Jessica Smith. Jessica led the Heat in assists in both of her team’s wins over West Hancock and Ridgewood last week. She totaled 31 in the two matches, including 19 against Ridgewood in a Lincoln Trail Conference contest.

The Tompkins State Bank, A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Emma Curry. Emma led the Tornadoes in kills in both matches last week. She totaled 16 for the week, with 9 of those coming in a 3-set win over Rushville/Industry.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week, presented by Toyota, is junior girls tennis player, Kennedi Davis. Kennedi placed 7th at #2 singles in the annual Silver Streak Invitational Tournament at Art Fish Courts on the Galesburg High School campus. She also got a victory earlier in the week in a dual match against Peoria Christian.
