October 1, 1993 McDonough County Rehabilitation Center, Spoon River Center and Harrington Family Services merged to form Bridgeway. Having served the residents of west central Illinois for decades, these agencies joined together to meet the challenges of providing health and human services in a rapidly changing environment.

Bridgeway annually serves over 10,000 individuals in Galesburg, Kewanee, Macomb, Monmouth, Normal, Pekin and Loves Park. Bridgeway programs include mental health recovery services, crisis intervention services, residential services, substance use services, rehabilitation services, community employment, children & adolescent services and services for persons with developmental disabilities. Bridgeway also provides Affirmative Employment Services for individuals with disabilities and military services veterans.

According to William Nelson, CEO, “the Board of Directors and staff of Bridgeway take pride in recognizing the past 25 years serving our communities, families and individuals and are well positioned to continue our tradition of high quality health and human services for the next 25 years.”
