September Achiever of the Month

The September Achiever of the Month, presented by Warren Achievement and the Review Atlas, was United Junior Principal Chris Schwarz. Sean Cavanaugh, Marketing Coordinator at Warren Achievement, shares more on how they were able to surprise Schwarz with the award:

“It was supposed to be a big surprise, so I called Jeff Whitsitt. What he did is Chris was supposed to do an evaluation on a teacher sit-in so Rick Barnhill, our President and CEO for Warren Achievement Center, he and I pulled up and were going to walk right in the front door, but for some reason that got moved to another day. So we had to drive around back and sneak in through the locker rooms. Then Jeff had to keep Chris in his office. During that all the teachers in the school were sneaking all the kids into the gym. We had all the teachers and Chris’s wife Brianna and their toddler. They went and got Chris and said there was an emergency in the gym and of course when he walked in all the kids went bonkers,” states Cavanaugh.

Schwarz was nominated by Carl Young, a Science teacher at United Junior High.
