The Stone Hayes Center for Independent Living is having another town meeting, this time in Warren County. Carrie Bewley, an Independent Living Advocate, shares why they are having these meetings:
“We have the town meetings so that we can see and find out the barriers the disabled are having to be able to remain in their homes. We try to help solve the issues and have their voices heard. We do a lot of referrals to help solve the problems. We invite all surrounding agencies to come to be able to all work together and help solve the problems,” Bewley states.
The meeting will be next Tuesday November 13th from noon until 2 pm at the First Christian Church, 514 North Sunny Lane in Monmouth.
