Here’s the WMOI/WRAM/WAIK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 4th, 2018:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jakob Thomas. Jakob registered nine tackles in a 2nd round playoff win against Eureka. Two of those nine tackles were for losses. He is the season leader in both categories for the Titans, including 79 total tackles and 22 for losses.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior football players, Alec Thompson and Stewart Svob. Alec and Stewart were named to Lincoln Trail All-Conference second team, with Alec at wide receiver and Stewart at punter. Better yet, both young men were on the Academic All-Conference list as well.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week. This week the spotlight shines on senior football player, Jensen Bowman. Jensen was named to the Lincoln Trail Conference All-Conference team on both sides of the football. He was a first team selection as a defensive lineman and a 2nd team member for his performance on the offensive line.

The A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Charli Johnson. Charli was named to the Prairieland All-Conference North Division list. She was placed on the second team. Charli hustled her way 248 total digs this season to lead the Tornadoes in that stat category.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week, presented by Toyota, is sophomore boys soccer player, Joel Bizau. Joel had a fantastic season for the Streaks, who reached double digit wins for the first time since 2011. Galesburg was (10-7-1) on the season. For Joel’s great performance on the field, the coaches of the Western Big Six Conference named him to the All-Conference First Team.
