Registration is now open for the Special Olympics Polar Plunge.

The Polar Plunge, presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run and GEICO, is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a flying leap into the frigid waters of Lake Storey. Area manager Jennifer Davis, offers more details:

“The plunge is February 17th in Galesburg that kicks off our plunge season. We have a new one in Macomb this year on the campus of Western Illinois University. Then we end at Jumer’s Casino in Rock Island,” shares Davis.

Participants must raise $100 in donations from friends, family and co-workers in exchange for jumping into the icy waters.
