State awards five stars to employee child care center
West Burlington, Iowa, Dec. 13, 2018 – Kid Zone, Great River Health System’s child care center, has earned a five-star rating from the Iowa Department of Human Services’ Quality Rating System (QRS). It is the only center in southeast Iowa to hold the top rating.

The Quality Rating System (QRS) was created in 2006 to raise the quality of child care in Iowa, increase the number of children in high-quality child care settings and educate parents about quality in child care.

The five-start rating indicates Kid Zone has made significant steps in meeting key indicators of quality in:
· Environment
· Family and community partnership
· Health and safety

· Professional development

Kid Zone provides child care and preschool for 89 children whose parents work at the health system.
