Employee pay still an issue at the Warren County Jail

Share

Now that January is here, the Warren County Jail is looking to reopen this month. Sheriff Martin Edwards says effectively they are getting the jail ready to go but employee pay will still be an ongoing issue due to competition…”That’s something that we are trying to address as we can, but I’m still competing with other agencies that simply pay better. The employees are with a labor union, and once the contract is set, and the salaries are set, if we are going to make a change in that then we will have to go back and talk with the union.’  A study is being conducted to determine the future of the Warren County Jail.
