Carl Sandburg College will showcase pieces by two Western Illinois University instructors in a new show that will run Jan. 21-March 18 on the Main Campus in Galesburg.

“Foregone Conclusions: The Work of Ian Shelly and Tyler Hennings” will be featured in the Lonnie Eugene Stewart Art Gallery, located in Building D on the Main Campus, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 25. Both the show and reception are free and open to the public.

The first art show of 2019 at Sandburg highlights the paintings of Shelly, director of the WIU Art Gallery, and the ceramics of Shelly, assistant professor of art (ceramics) at WIU.

Established in 2006 and named for area artist Lonnie Eugene Stewart in 2015, the Lonnie Eugene Stewart Art Gallery has hosted group faculty exhibits, juried student exhibits and the works of local professional photographers and painters.
