Donna Catherine Scott, 83, of East Galesburg, died at 11:34 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at in Hospice Care @ Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL.

Donna was born June 7, 1935 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Eugene Russell “Jack” and Emma Ruth (Monks) Connor. She married Donald C. Sapp in 1955 in Koekuk, IA. Together they had three daughters, Sue Ellen (Danny) Haynes of Harned, KY, Kathryn Mary Nelson of Cedar Park, TX, and Sally Jo (Ralph) Scott of East Galesburg. They later divorced. She married Gerald Ralph “Jerry” Scott, Sr., in 1990 in Galesburg, he survives of East Galesburg as does her sister, Gene Ann Hinton of Denver, CO; 28 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David and John Connor; and two sisters, Sally Lozier and Mary Sandage.

Donna received her real estate license and worked as a realtor for over 35 years, retiring from Century 21 in Galesburg. One of Donna’s proudest accomplishments was being a realtor and landlord and loved helping people find a home. Her family was her pride and joy. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday July 6, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg. Burial of cremated remains will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. A celebration of life will follow at Cedar Creek Hall from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Gordon Behrent’s Senior Center. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
