Katie M. Lundeen, age 79, of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away at 4:45 P.M.
on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria,
Illinois. She was born on November 29, 1939 near Joy, Illinois, the
daughter of Richard Lee and Beulah Louise (Robinson) Sipes. Katie
attended Lone Star rural school, Monmouth Public Schools, and also Law
School. She then graduated from Monmouth High School with the class of
1951. On May 17, 1959, she married Theodore “Pete” Lundeen in Monmouth,
Illinois and he is surviving. Katie first worked for the Colonial
Nursing Home in Monmouth as a nurses aid. She later worked as a
secretary for State Farm Insurance here iu Monmouth. Katie loved her
family and friends. She enjoyed collecting roosters, both pictures and
ceramics. Katie is survived by her husband Pete of Kewanee, Illinois,
one daughter, Kristen Zeigler of Kewanee, Illinois, one son, DuWayne
Lundeen and Stephanie, of Kewanee, Illinois, five grandchildren, and
eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Wanda
Wade of Galesburg, Illinois and one brother, Richard Sipes of Galesburg,
Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Glenda
Beniot and Imogene Clark, and two brothers, Vernon Sipes and George Sipes.

As were Katie’s wishes, cremation is being accorded. No service are
