Miss Louise Marie Zielinski, 69, of Galesburg died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Louise was born in Chicago on May 4, 1950 to Norbert Joseph and Gertrude Sophie (Dybek) Zielinski.

She is survived by her sisters Gloria (John) Casey of Huntley, Illinois and Nancy Podwika of Chicago, Illinois; her godmother Elizabeth Kohapka of Oak Park, Illinois; two nieces Amy San Martin and Kathleen Mary (Kenneth) Lerner; and one nephew John Casey Jr. Also surviving are eight great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Lawrence Podwika.

Louise grew up in Chicago with her sisters. She attended St. Rose Day School and St. Mary of Providence. In 1987, Louise moved to Galesburg as a resident of St. Mary’s Square where she made friends with the many residents and staff. In 2013 she moved into Carol’s House, where she resided before passing.

Visitation will be 3 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Prayer Service to follow at 5:30 p.m. with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to KCCDD or Carol’s House.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
