Monmouth Rotary Hosting Annual Pork Chop Dinner

Share

The Monmouth Rotary Club is hosting their annual Barbecue Pork Chop dinner Tuesday, June 11 at Immaculate Conception School in Monmouth.

The dinner will include tenderized butterfly pork chops, chips, and Texas sheet cake. Those who are interested can eat in at the school’s gym from five pm to seven pm and will also have a drive thru service from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The dinner will feature a Dixieland Jazz band.

Rotary member Trevor Davies told us the projects the annual dinners have helped promote:

“We help with the Operation Backpack program, and we also sponsor one of the Prime Beef Princess contestants every year. We do Adopt a Highway; we always have groups that go out once a month that pick up the garbage on the outside as well as the median.

One of the big things we are proud of is our Centennial Project that I happened to drive past yesterday out at the park on 11th and the new splash pad the rotary put in for our Centennial Project.”

The Monmouth Rotary Club currently has 50 members. The club meets every first and third Monday every month and meets at Chick’s in Monmouth.
