Sharon Kaye Woods, 72, of Galesburg, died at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Sharon was born December 3, 1946 in Galesburg, the daughter of Floyd M. and Helen (Richey) Randolph, Sr.   Sharon graduated from Galesburg High School in 1965 and then graduated from Brown’s Business College. Sharon married Eugene Austin Woods on April 16, 1997 in Galesburg. He survives. As is one step-daughter, Lori (Jack) Hanley of Unionville, MO; and one sister, Rosalie A. (Virgil) Palm of Wataga. Sharon is also survived by two step grandchildren, Matthew Whitlock and Amanda Hanley; one niece; one nephew; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Floyd Randolph, Sr.

Sharon spent her career working in retail. She worked at the Galesburg Clinic Pharmacy for 10 years, she then spent 10 years working at J.C. Penney, and retired from Bergner’s in 2001. Sharon and Eugene attended Harmony Baptist Church. They were able to winter for the month of February in Hawaii for 20 years. Sharon and Eugene also enjoyed traveling to Branson, Wisconsin Dells, and to many different car shows. She also enjoyed watching movies, antiquing, and shopping.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private graveside services will be at the Avon Cemetery, Avon, IL. Pastor Chris Nissley will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church.
