The Monmouth Lions Little League baseball postseason tournament began last night with a pair of games at Harmon Park in Monmouth. The top two seeds advanced to play in the winner’s bracket final tonight. Top-seed Stanton Insurance knocked off Stombaugh Law Office and Whitman Law Office beat Distin & Doyle Optometry. That sets up a showdown between Stanton and Whitman tonight at 5:30 with the winner going to the championship game on Thursday night. Stombaugh and Distin & Doyle match up at 7:30 with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.
