Monmouth Lions Little League Tournament Down to Championship Game

The teams are set for the Monmouth Lions Little League baseball tournament championship game. Last night in the loser’s bracket final, top-seed and regular season champ Stanton Insurance was beaten by Stombaugh Law Office 21-9. Stombaugh now takes on 2nd seeded Whitman Law Office at Harmon Park in Monmouth at 7:00 for the tournament title. Whitman is undefeated in the tournament and will have to be beaten twice by Stombaugh. Should Whitman lose tonight, the winner-take-all game will be Monday night at 5:30.
