Rev. Milton H. Marquith, age 81, of Altona, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home in Altona, Illinois.

He was born on June 15, 1937 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Raymond R. and Fern I. (Ennis) Marquith. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1955. He married Judith M. Rollins on July 10, 1959 at the East Galesburg community Chapel in East Galesburg, Illinois.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Judith Marquith of Altona; two daughters: Heidi Marquith-Lyons of Springfield, Missouri and Traci (and Jack) Frogley of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Luke (and Kim) Marquith of Wataga, Illinois; six grandchildren: Bonnie Lyons, Elijah (and Kaylee) Frogley, Augustus (and Danielle) Lyons, Jordan Marquith, Anastasia (and Levi) Johnson, and Maggie (and Shane) Hubbard; and five great-grandchildren: Hudson, Mason, Kinsley, Easton and Weston.  Also surviving are two brothers: Clarence “Kayo” Marquith of Knoxville, Illinois and LeRoy “Pete” (and Eleni) Marquith of Murphysboro, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother, Eugene Standley and a son-in-law, Brad Lyons.

Rev. Marquith worked for the State of Illinois Highway Department of Transportation for 20 years and was the Pastor at the East Galesburg for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing trips with family and friends. He will be missed by his family, friends and his congregation.

Private Services will be held at the Knoxville Mausoleum in the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Galesburg Community Chapel in East Galesburg, Illinois.  Online condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
