The vacant Maytag building in Galesburg has a new investor.

Phoenix Investors in Milwaukee has acquired the building and plans to invest in the building in the hopes that it will find a new, permanent, owner.

Ken Springer of Knox County Area Partnership says the possibilities for the building are endless

“The building is really well suited. It could function as warehousing/distribution location, it could work for manufacturing, it could work for a number of flexible uses.”

Springer did not disclose the cost of the purchase.
