Mrs. Alice L. West, 91, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois, died 7:10 a.m. July 17, 2019 in Las Vegas. 

She was born January 3, 1928 in Galesburg to Austin G. and Maude S. (Olson) Scott.  She married Glen “Bing” W. West May 10, 1946 in Burlington, Iowa.  He preceded her in death June 1, 2001.

Surviving is a sister, Beverly Jane Pyatt of Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Jacquelyn West in 1948, three brothers and three sisters. 

Alice graduated from Galesburg High School in 1945.  She had lived in Princeton and Granville, Illinois before moving to Las Vegas.  She worked in accounting at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas for several years.  When in Galesburg, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. 

A private graveside service will be held August 3, 2019 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Rev. Frank Langholf will officiate. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
