Dorothy Ellen Peake, age 96, of Courtyard Estates in Monmouth, Illinois,
passed away at 6:55 PM on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Roseville Nursing and
Rehab in Roseville, Illinois. She was born on September 1, 1922 in
Gorin, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Carrie (White) Corbin.
Dorothy attended school in Gorin and was a graduate of Gorin High
School. On September 3, 1949, she married S. Dale Peake in Colusa,
Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2015. Dorothy was
employed at Warren High School for 8 years in the cafeteria. She much
enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, puzzles, reading, and walking.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Carole (Ortery) House (John) of
Roseville, Illinois, two sons; Randy (Sandy) Peake of Wataga, Illinois
and Kenneth (Evelyn) Hull of Jennison, Michigan, her grandchildren;
Stacy (Ortery) Sunn, Michele (Ortery) Smith (Will), Jason Peake, Amy
(Peake) Feely (Matt), Randy Hull, and Shawn Hull (Lisa),
great-grandchildren; Zackary Sunn (Alora), Jesse Smith, Sean Sunn,
Austin Smith, Jordon Hull, Jade Hull, Andrew Feely, and Grace Feely. A
great-great grandson, Kaysen Sunn is due to arrive July 16, 2019  Also
surviving are one sister, Sharon Stavenhagen (Gene), and one brother,
Dallas Corbin. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband
Dale, and brother Raymond.

A funeral service is planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at
Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Visitation will be held
from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment
will be at Monmouth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made
for the Strom Center in Monmouth. For more information, or to leave a
