Mrs. Helen Patricia “Pat” Lowery, 72, of Galesburg, Illinois died 10:12 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at her son’s home in Galesburg. 

She was born November 8, 1946 in Forrest City, Arkansas to William Henry and Lillian (Powell) Gray.  She married Terry L. Lowery April 9, 1965 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death October 18, 2000. 

Surviving is a son, Brian L. (and Nichole Taylor) Lowery of Galesburg, a daughter, Terri L. (and John Wicks) Bonnett of Chicago, Illinois, three granddaughters, Aubree Bivens, Jaelyn Vespa, and Rylie Lowery, three great-grandchildren, Amaree, Aniyah, and McKinlee, two nieces, Feneather (and Kip) Randolph of Harvey, Illinois and Shirley (and Sonny) Wilborn of Olympia Fields, Illinois, and a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Alfred Gray, and a sister, Cora (and Henry) Droughns.

Pat graduated from Lincoln High School in Forest City in 1964.  She worked for KCCDD for 41 years and retired in 2014.  She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church in Galesburg.  She was a member of the church choir, Stewart Board, and Women’s Missionary Society.  She was a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club.  Pat enjoyed singing, baking, and her church.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. 

Cremation will be accorded.  A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Rev. James Hailey will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
