A new eye care center has opened in Monmouth, which has purchased the building, and practice, of Distan and Doyle.
Although Kehoe Eye Care is new to Monmouth – the office opened its doors in Monmouth July 15 – the practice has been operating for quite some time in Galesburg, since 1984 to be exact.
Brian Plattner of Kehoe told us what the primary of goal of Kehoe is.
“We want to be a part of the community. We want to build relationships with our patients. 18 years ago when I joined the practice in Galesburg, I told Doctor Kehoe I really want to start and retire from the same practice. Because I feel it’s important the doctor-patient relationship is critical, and I feel longevity is important to that, that they [the patients] know that we’re going to be there for them.”
Kehoe’s office hours are: Monday, eight am to seven pm; Tuesday, nine am to five pm; and Wednesday through Friday, eight am to five pm. A doctor will be available every other Saturday.
