M. Jean Cooper, 92, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 4:12 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at her home.

She was born on July 18, 1926 in Duck Creek, Mercer County, IL the daughter of Leo and Theo (Darrah) Perrin.  She was raised and educated in Little York, graduating from Little York High School.

Jean married Theodore E. “Ted” Cooper on September 22, 1946 at the Fall Creek Methodist Church in Henderson County, IL; he passed away on March 31, 2019. 

Jean was a bank teller for over 30 years first at the Little York State Bank and later retiring from Monmouth Trust and Savings Bank in Monmouth. 

She was the church pianist/organist at the Little Cedar Church for over 50 years.  She enjoyed flowers and volunteering at OSF Holy Family Medical Center until she was 90.

Surviving Jean are her three children, Phillip (Roberta) Cooper of Little York, Mark Cooper of Monmouth, and Terri Cooper of Phoenix, AZ.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother, John (Gwen) Perrin of Galesburg.

She was preceded in death by hers parents, husband and one sister, Marian Kneen

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Little Cedar Community Church, Little York, IL.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-11:00 am at the church.  A private family interment will take place at Warren County Memorial Park at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Little Cedar Community Church.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
