The Matt Repp Memorial Golf Outing is Friday, August 10 at the Monmouth Country Club.
Proceeds from the outing will help students in the local area to receive scholarships.
However, Pat Repp says fundraising efforts have blossomed into more than just giving scholarships.
“The initial thought was to just give out scholarships, that’s all we were going to do. But, quite frankly, it’s been so successful – not just the tournament, but people donating money – that we put in brand new scoreboards at United Junior High.”
The fundraiser has also led to the Matt Repp Center for Innovation and Learning Center at United Junior High School, which is a renovation of the United Junior High library.
