Monmouth College Earns 174 Places On All-Academic Midwest Conference Teams

MONMOUTH, Ill. – One-hundred twenty-two Monmouth College student-athletes representing 20 sports and 24 majors earned 174 selections on the recently announced Midwest Conference All-Academic team for the 2018-19 academic year.

      The Midwest Conference awarded Academic All-Conference status to student-athletes who achieved a grade point average of at least 3.33 during the just concluded academic year. All student-athletes who earned varsity letters, regardless of class year, are eligible for the award. Business was by far the most popular major for Fighting Scots student-athletes with more than 33 from the department named academic all-conference. Exercise Science was the second-most popular major, followed by economics and biochemistry. Twenty of the Scots carried double-majors.
