Substitute Teachers and Bus Drivers Wanted for ROE

Share

Local school districts are experiencing shortages of substitute teachers and bus drivers, according to Regional Office of Education Superintendent Jodi Scott.

Legislation that was passed last year has allowed flexibility for ROE to fill vacant substitute teacher positions.

Superintendent Scott says ROE is always looking for new substiute teachers and bus drivers.

“We continue to work on it. I think we’ll continue to have a shortage with all of the teachers, the subs, the bus drivers. We’re highly encouraging people with bachelor’s degrees or retired folks that would like to spend some time with kids to become a sub for us and our region.”

For more information and to apply for these positions, please visit ROE’s website at roe33.net.
