The Monmouth Flying Club are hosting the 53rd annual Fly-In Breakfast on the Fourth of July from seven am to 10:30 am at the Monmouth Municipal Airport.

Tickets for the event are seven dollars in advance and eight dollars at the door; tickets for kids six through 12 are five dollars in advance and six dollars at the door. Airplanes rides are 35 dollars for 15 minutes.

Jeff Allen, President of the Monmouth Flying Club, gives us the details for the breakfast.

“We got ham, eggs, hash browns, gravy, pastries, fruit, toast, coffee, milk – there’s a lot going on. We expect a lot of airplanes flying in, so we’ll be busy parking the airplanes while people are walking around, taking in the sights of the different types of airplanes coming in.

We’ll have patriotic music by the municipal band, and there will be craft displays and sales going on. It should be a great time.”

The Monmouth Flying Club currently has 16 members and four pilots.
