Bradley R. Ackman, 47, of Galesburg, died at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at home.

He was born November 10, 1971, in Galesburg, the son of Charles “Skip” Ackman and Sharon K. Cassell.  He married Diana L. McKee.

He is survived by two children, Bradley E. Ackman of Galesburg and Courtney G. Ackman of Wataga; a grandson, Aiden Ackman; his father, Charles “Skip” (Lorretta) Ackman of Ashley, Indiana; sisters, Debra Ackman of Angola, Indiana and Carrie Richards of Sturgis, Michigan; other family members, Jeremy Law of Wisconsin, Dennis Ackman and Andy Mark Ackman, both of Oneida, Kimberly Sue Cassell-Davis, William R. Cassell, Bill G. Cassell, Travis Collins, and Robert Keller Jr., all of Galesburg, and Doug Earp of Monmouth; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

Brad was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.  Most recently he drove for Eagle Express.  He graduated from Bethany Christian Academy and attended Bob Jones University.  

Brad was a collector of many things, most notably his marble collection and Hot Wheels.  He enjoyed fishing, shooting, riding his Harley, and the Cubs.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  A celebration of Brad’s life will continue from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sidetrax.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Online condolences can be made at www.h-p-w.com.
