David W. Rabe, 58, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Henderson County Retirement Center, Stronghurst, IL. 

He was born on February 1, 1961 in Peoria, IL, the son of Clarence W. and Margaret (Wuest) Rabe.  He was raised and educated in Bartonville, IL, graduating from Limestone High School.

David married Pamela S. Brown in Bartonville, IL on August 6, 1988.

David worked as a cook at the Filling Station in Monmouth for a time.  He later managed the restaurant in Raritan and most recently he worked on the Karl Reynolds farm near Alexis, IL.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering in the garage; all traits passed down from generations.

Survivors include his son, Chris (Hillary) Rabe of Oquawka, IL; grandson, Clyde David Rabe of Oquawka; 3 sisters, Teresa (Eric) Kozel of Graham, WA, Elizabeth (Jim) Enlow of Creve Coeur, MO and Victoria Burdess of Belleville, IL; 2 brothers, Michael (Pam) Rabe and Douglas Rabe of Peoria, IL; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Little York Community Center, Little York, IL.   Memorials may be given to the David W.
