Donald Keith Thomas, 91, of Galesburg, formerly of Monmouth, died at 12:26 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

Don was born November 11, 1927 at home in Monmouth, the son of Craven Alexander and Norma Lucille (Kelly) Thomas.  He married Anna Marie Poulson on January 14, 1949 in Monmouth.  She preceded him in death in 1981.  Don is survived by two sons, Donald E. (Linda) and Ronald K. (Elaine) Thomas both of Galesburg; two daughters, Kathy (Alan) Kampca of Dallas, TX and Kay (Rob) Hawk of O’Fallon, MO; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a special friend, Shirley Carson of Galesburg.  Along with his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by one sister.

Don worked as a machine repairman at OMC Gale Products for 29 ½ years.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially deer hunting with his sons and mushroom hunting.  Don also enjoyed building many different things, he always had a project going on.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg.  Private graveside services will be at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to Seminary Manor Bounce Back or a charity of the donor’s choosing.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
