While living in Mexico Eloisa worked as a nurse. After moving to the United States in 1973 she began working as a CNA. She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching Mexican soap operas, reading, and working in her flower garden.

Family was most important to Eloisa, from cooking family dinners every Sunday to taking care of her grandchildren and making sure they were where they needed to be.
