Harvey L. Smith, 90, of Henderson Grove, died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, in Aperion Care Galesburg North.
He was born March 22, 1929, in Henderson Township, the son of Edwin O. and Edna M. (Ellickson) Smith.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harry, Roy, and Harold; three sisters, Mabel, Ellen, and Rosa; and a sister in infancy.
Harvey farmed all of his adult life in the Henderson Grove area. He was a lifelong member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove. Harvey was also a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Henderson Grove Cemetery with Rev. Kurt Carlsen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
