Dixon, IL– The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team rallied from a first-set loss to defeat Sauk Valley 13-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-18 on Tuesday night in the Chargers’ first Arrowhead Conference road match.
Sandburg (5-2 overall, 2-0 Arrowhead), which has won five matches in a row, had a huge night from sophomore Tearaney Eads (Lincoln, Ill./Lincoln), who posted a career-high 17 kills on 52 attempts.
Peyton Bowman (Sciota, Ill./West Prairie) had four blocks and three aces for the Chargers, and Emily Bloomer (Burlington, Iowa/Burlington) had 10 digs. Sophomore setter Cora Vyhnanek (Colchester, Ill./West Prairie) handed out 32 assists.
