Mrs. Katherine “Kathy” Elizabeth Henness, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away peacefully at 9:04 pm Saturday September 28, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Kathy was born April 21, 1955 in Galesburg the daughter of Wayne E. and Jean M. Williamson Dugan.

She is survived by her children, Brad Henness of Washington, Beth (Robert) Gambotz of Stuart, Florida, EJ Hary of Virginia and Maranda Hary of Galesburg; three brothers, Rex Dugan of Galesburg, Rick (Linda) Dugan of Minnesota and John Dugan of Galesburg; her sister, Judi Dugan of Galesburg and eleven grandchildren, Riley, Bobby, Stephen, Matthew, Brady, Mikaela, Eric, Daniel, Nevaeh, Aiden and Vinny. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy worked for Dick Blick Art Supplies for over 15 years. She enjoyed her Dick Blick family and participated in all their extra activities. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1973.  Kathy’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She held a special place for each and every one of them. In Kathy’s caring and giving spirit she was an organ donor with Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00pm Wednesday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Center, Peoria. Fellowship will continue at the O.A.K.S. following the services.
