This last week the Monmouth College Fighting Scots football team was dealt a 9-38 loss against the Wartburg Knights on Saturday, September 14th.

Head Coach of the Monmouth College Fighting Scots, Chad Braun, says that even though the team took a loss, he saw a lot of good things out on the field this last Saturday. He thought the offensive line did a tremendous job throughout the game, but a lot of challenges seen in practice came out again in the defense.

Coach Braun says that overall, he is optimistic about the rest of the season and that he and his team are going to be preparing as much as possible for their next game against St. Norbert on September 28th.

Coach Braun talks to the Fighting Scots fans about how the season has gone, and where he thinks the team will be by the end of the season…

“You know, I know there’s probably a lot of panic right now with us being 0-2, it’s never happened, you know, since I’ve been head coach, but we played two great programs the first two weeks, and we’ve got some new guys starting in spots and they’re learning as they go. But we’re going to just continue to get better, and we’ll be where we want to be at the end of the year, I promise you that.”

The Fighting Scots have the Buy this week, and will face off against St. Norbert on Saturday, September 28th at 1:00 pm at Monmouth College.
