Monmouth Man Charged With Making Terrorist Threats

At approximately 21:45 on Friday September 20, 2019, Monmouth Police officers responded to 1001 W. 1st Ave. in reference to reports that an individual, Brian E. Sage (birthdate 01-22-78) was expressing threats that involved homemade explosive devices. Officers made contact with Sage who threatened officers with a road flare and additional flammable material. Officers were able to subdue Sage and take him into custody safely. Sage is being held in the Warren County jail and is charged with Making Terrorist Threats, Possession of Methamphetamine, Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest.
