Our PCSN high school football broadcast schedule has another two games on the air on Friday night. The Monmouth-Roseville Titans travel to Hall High School in Spring Valley for a Three Rivers Conference Mississippi Division battle. The Titans defeated Hall 24-20 at home in week 6 last season. Monmouth-Roseville lost a heart-breaking overtime battle to Rockridge last Friday night. Hall is (1-1) on the season after beating up on Bureau Valley 47-12 in week 2.

The United Red Storm host Annawan/Wethersfield for Hall of Fame Night at United High School. The Red Storm fell 34-6 to Heyworth to drop to (0-2). A/W is (2-0) after getting out to a big first half lead over Farmington and then holding on for a 32-25 non-conference win over the Farmers.

Both games will start with a 6:40 pregame show. The Monmouth-Roseville Titans can be found at Sunny 97.7 WMOI and the United Red Storm will be broadcast on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM. You can listen online at radiomonmouth.com and click on Listen Live to the appropriate station.

Elsewhere in week 3 of the high school football season, conference play begins for most of our listening area teams. In the Lincoln Trail Conference, the West Central Heat, coming off a dominating 49-6 win over South Fulton, host Princeville. Ridgewood takes on Mid-County and Mercer County renews their rivalry with Stark County in Aledo.

The (1-1) Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes will go to (2-1) after getting a forfeit victory over Martinsville. The Blue Streaks have a multitude of injury problems and with a small number of players in their program already, they have had to cancel their game against the Tornadoes. The big game in the Prairieland Conference this week features two good football programs in Knoxville and Illini West. They’ll do battle in Knoxville. Bushnell-Prairie/West Prairie welcomes Havana to Bushnell and Rushville/Industry is at Farmington.

The Galesburg Silver Streaks start their Western Big Six Conference schedule with the newcomers to the league, Geneseo. The Streaks host the Maple Leafs on the turf at Galesburg High School.

It’s Saturday night football for the Monmouth College Fighting Scots. The Scots travel to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa for a 7:00 start. Our AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM and monmouthradio.com pregame show starts at 6:40.
