A-Town Gears up for Blue Bullets

It’s rivalry week for the Abingdon-Avon football team. Coming off a 49-12 win over the South Fulton Rebels last week, the Tornadoes are preparing to take on the Knoxville Blue Bullets on Friday night, which will be a big factor in determining the conference champs. Head Coach Rick Quinn previews the possible outcomes:

“This will be Knoxville’s last conference game. So if they win they are the conference representative for our conference. If we win, we are in the driver seat with one left against Lewistown. I mean some of it depends what happens with Lewistown and Illini West who also play Friday, because I believe Lewistown only has one loss in the conference. If we find a way to pull out the win and then able to take care of business the following week, we would be the conference representative. It’s a huge game. It gets us to five wins and playoff eligible, which is also another good thing. So there are a lot of implications with this game,” Quinn shares.

The Tornadoes travel to Knoxville Friday night to take on the Blue Bullets at 7 pm during their homecoming weekend.
