A-Town Playoff Eligible

After getting a 28 to 0 shutout win against Lewistown, the Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes got their fifth win to become playoff eligible. With only two weeks left in the high school football season, Head Coach Rick Quinn is stepping up their game to make a postseason run:

“I think the one thing that we have been talking to the kids is finishing drives. A lot of that is just communication up front with our offensive line and quarterback making sure we have the right blocking assignment on. I think if we can finish drives, and take some of the pressure off the defense that is always good. We go into the game expecting to shut them out, but that is great offense. We know they are probably going to score; they have athletes all over the field. We have to take some pressure off the defense and pick them up like they picked us up. I think that is how you make a run to the playoffs, being great altar aspects of the game,” states Quinn.

The Tornadoes are looking to add another win to their season as they travel to Farmington for a conference game this Friday night.
