Belva I. Killeen, 81, of Galesburg, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Aperion Care Galesburg North.
She was born July 12, 1938, at home in Monmouth, the daughter of Warren Ivan and Ada Marie (Kissick) Parsons. She married John Killeen in 1977, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by four children, Wes Creek, Jeff (Audrey) Creek, Roy (Dawn) Creek, and Lorene Schisler, all of Galesburg; four sisters, Ella Mae (Bud) Scott of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ann Trickey of Claremore, Oklahoma, Deanna Davis of Abingdon, and Dianna (Roger) Mahnesmith of Wataga; nine grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, JoAnn Chenoweth; a grandson, Shawn Ivan Creek; and two brothers-in-law, Ben Trickey and Lloyd Chenoweth.
Belva was a bartender at the former Moose Lodge in Galesburg for over 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. Belva enjoyed collecting many things, including, angels, brooches, and Disney movies.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Private family graveside service will be Saturday in St. Joseph Cemetery with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
