Erma J. Kellogg, age 89, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 9:25 pm
on Saturday October 5, 2019 at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth,
Illinois. Erma was born on April 30, 1930 in Monmouth, and is the
daughter of Albert and Gladys M. Hook Howe. She was raised in Monmouth
where she attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School with the class of 1948. She married Frank M. Kellogg on April 5, 1949 in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2019. Erma was first employed at Illinois Bankers Life and Casualty in Monmouth
from 1948 to1953. She then worked at the National Bank of Monmouth from
1971 to 1980 and then worked for Consumer’s Grain in Galesburg, Illinois
from 1980 to 1995. She then was the Chamber Secretary for the Monmouth
Chamber of Commerce for ten years from 2000 to 2010, Erma was a member of First Christian Church for many years and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She and Frank loved to dance together whenever there would be a dance.

She is survived by one son, Roger Kellogg of Monmouth, Illinois and five granddaughters, Jeni Twist (Michael) of Athens, IL, Jesi Spears (Pat) of Monmouth, IL, Jaki Kellogg of Monmouth, IL., Jodi Brown of Alexis, IL., and Joni Kellogg (Bryon) of Urbana, IL. There are ten great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also are surviving her. One sister, Maradine Mills of Tucson, AZ survives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, One son, Gary; and five brothers.

A graveside funeral service for the committal of her ashes is planned at 11:00 am on Friday October 11, 2019 at Warren County Memorial Park. Her family plans to meet at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth at 10:00 am Friday prior to the service and will go out to the cemetery.
