Fighting Scots’ Gordon Nets Season’s second League Honor

MONMOUTH, IL (10/21/2019) Monmouth’s Kara-Jade Gordon (Nashville, Tenn./University School) has helped push the Fighting Scots to the brink of a record-setting season and picked up this week’s Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week award for her efforts last weekend.

Gordon moved into a tie for the Scots’ career game-winning goal mark and helped Monmouth move into second place in the Midwest Conference with their program record-tying 12th win. The senior forward opened the week netting the tying goal in a 4-1 win over Lake Forest and ended the week with a hat trick, scoring her 13th career game-winning goal in a 6-1 win over Lawrence. For the week, Monmouth’s leading scorer netted four goals and one assist while posting a .556 shot-on-goal percentage and a .444 shot percentage.

A psychology major, Gordon is the daughter of Daniel and Olive Gordon.
