Western Illinois Animal Rescue is hosting a Happy Howloween 5K run/walk on Sunday, October 27th with registration beginning at 9 am followed by the race at 10 am. Glenda Ehlen, organizer of event, details how the day will go:
“We will have our 5K run/walk followed by a costume party for pets and children. We encourage everyone to bring their dogs with them. Right now we are at 70 people signed up and we are hoping for 100,” states Ehlen.
The run will begin and end at the WIAR building and prizes will be given for first, second, and third place finishers for men, women, and children.
Registration is still available online at www.localraces.com/wiarrescue or can be done in person on race day.
