The Knox Galesburg Symphony will be hosting a Season Kickoff Party tomorrow night from 5 to 7 pm at the Soangetaha Country Club. Visit with board members, orchestra members, friends, and music Director Vlad Vizireanu, who is excited for the event:

“We will have a little meet and greet with me. We will have food, drink, and a little entertainment. Just a chance to get to know each other a little bit,” Vizireanu shares.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person.

The 2019-2020 Knox Galesburg Symphony Masterworks Series kicks off this Saturday, October 19th at the Orpheum Theatre. The theme for the first concert of the series is entitled ‘Dance, Dance, Revolution.’ Music Director Vlad Vizireanu previews what to expect that night:

“So this piece, the ironic thing about them is, even though they are based off of dance themes, they were not really intended to be danced. So like the Bartok for example, those are actually Romanian dances, which I have seen at parties, weddings, that kind of stuff. The others are based on dance themes but if you were to try to dance to them, whoa to you. The first and third dances are very fast, very energetic, very lively, and what can I say it is just a great time,” explains Vizireanu.

The concert will begin at 7:30 pm and tickets can be purchased at the box office or online at http://kgsymphony.org.
