Elsewhere around the area tonight….

The West Central Heat (4-3) can make themselves playoff eligible with a win over Class 1A 3rd-ranked Annawan-Wethersfield in Biggsville. It’s also Senior Night for the Heat. A-W can clinch at least a share of the Lincoln Trail Conference championship with a victory.

Mercer County (4-3) can also make themselves playoff eligible with a win at home against Princeville (6-1). The Princes have already locked up a postseason berth but are looking to enhance their playoff seeding.

Farmington (6-1) has already clinched the Prairieland Conference’s Blue Division title. The Farmers host a hungry Abingdon-Avon (5-2) squad that can also clinch a spot in the postseason.

The Knoxville Blue Bullets (7-0) are ranked #6 in the latest Class 2A poll and can most likely lock up a home game in the first round of the playoffs with a road win against Elmwood/Brimfield (2-5).

BPC/WP (2-5) heads to South Fulton (0-7).

The Macomb Bombers (0-7) will try to get their first win of the season tonight with a home match up vs. Mahomet-Seymour (2-5).

The Galesburg Silver Streaks (2-5) are coming off an exciting win last Friday and will try to keep the momentum going on the road against Alleman (4-3). Alleman trails Sterling by one game in the Western Big Six Conference standings.
